European Credit Transfer System

The ECTS (European Credit Transfer System) was created by the European Commission in order to provide uniform procedures to ensure that studies at universities abroad will be counted toward the programme of study at a home university. This system allows measuring and comparing results achieved by the student, and also allows the transfer of these results between universities. This system is expected to deliver results not only to students travelling to foreign universities, but also allows the exchange of students between Polish universities that have implemented the ECTS.
